@No_Ca_Mo @dogsbite Mr. Moran, your comment is out of line. The dog is on a bite quarantine and will be returned to the owner once the 10-days is completed. It is up to the owner whether the dog returns to the home or is euthanized. It will not be placed with another unsuspecting family.

Another happy ending for a little pup that was homeless and suffering just a few days ago. HHS is more than just a shelter. Our vet services team helps thousands of animals a year.

The winter camp kids get a lesson in painting from a pro. Thanks so much for donating your time for the kids. The kid's parents are going to get a very nice Christmas present.

We have some sad news. Mal Jolly checked himself out of the hospital after being treated for the snake bite, but later succumbed to his injury, and passed away at his hotel. Mal was a great man and will be missed very much by our staff and other volunteers. Rest in peace Mal.

HHS has taken into our care over 30 animals from a mobile home fire in Port Orange that occurred last week. All of these animals require medications, veterinary procedures, special foods, and special attention. The link to donate is halifaxhumanesociety.org/donate
