I honestly don't buy the idea that one player can consistently excel as a left winger, centre-forward and a No.10 at the highest level. Some Arsenal fans are pushing for Julián Álvarez because of that versatility, but I'm not fully convinced. We signed Eberechi Eze with similar expectations and we've already seen how different he looks when deployed on the left compared to his natural central areas. I'm not sure if Arteta has the same vision for Morgan Rogers, but history suggests these hybrid roles don't always work as smoothly as people imagine. Right now Arsenal already have Martin Ødegaard, Eze, Kai Havertz, Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman who naturally operate as second strikers or attacking midfielders. If you then add Rogers and Álvarez to that mix, I'm struggling to see how it all fits together. What are your opinions? 🤔🔴
