The friends will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 1st July 11 – 4 Friends will be in the cemetery to assist with searching for graves and finding location in the cemetery. There will be short walks also.

The friends of Hardwick road cemetery are looking for a new committee member who can take on the role of events organiser. We are a friendly bunch of people who have an interest in the history and nature in the cemetery. we meet at least four times a year and an A.G.M

@Truesyardmuseum His name could be James, there is a a James Bunting place of death suger beat factory, buried in Hardwick Road cemetery. He is on the cemetery data base

Next we have TY1989.58 of ‘Trunky’ Bunting and TY1989.513 which features his wife ‘Lalla’ (L) & her sister (R). Can anyone tell us their first names? The only information we have about ‘Trunky’ is that he was killed by a train while working at the Sugar Beet Works… [10/11]
