Which, related, why am I only ever sleepy during the day and never at night??

No ones ever been more sleepy than I am right now

My least favourite part about this heat wave is that I can actively feel it shortening my fuse and making me unreasonable about random things

The last month all I’ve done is write 5000 terrible and barely connected words for a chapter, edit them before giving up, redo my outline and start rewriting all of those words again but to be less terrible. Ah, the PhD life.

@ColinMylrea He did not but he did offer to release a single chapter as part of a charity drive and then didn’t do that also but still collected the money

I am permitting myself the next week to fall down a Dragon Magazine paratext rabbit hole (again…), which should not make me as excited as it does but alas! Rabbit holes are fun even if they inevitably delay more important stuff

I’ve been taking melatonin to fall asleep too much so I’m switching to a new strategy of reading an incredibly dense and/or boring book before bed. Tonight it’s a 600 page history of the Middle Ages, wish me luck
