Today, as we celebrate International Literacy Day, we want to thank you for supporting our community health workers, teachers, and learners of all ages as we move towards a more literate future!

This week we're recognizing International Literacy Day! At Zamtan Community School of Peace, teacher Martha and her students are utilizing flashcards to form sentences, a great group activity that still allows students to practice their literacy skills independently!

In Nepal, our Soyamsebika (CHW) friends are working hard to uplift the needs of their communities amid COVID-19 and pandemic-related shutdowns. We are so grateful for the work of our Soamsebika friends, as they continue to uplift women, children, and families!

Thanks to the years of trust and respect they’ve built, Sinkhani address local stigmas and myths surrounding COVID-19, providing accessible evidence-based information. Their knowledge also goes directly to women, empowering them as respected holders of life-saving information!
