Another amazing week of Storybook STEM club! This week we read "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" and designed bridges to hold up a goat after he was full from feasting in the meadow. We also practiced foundational skills with nonsense word bowling and tricky word tic tac toe.

Reviewing important characteristics of planets by creating diagrams of the solar system in Mrs. Urps' first grade class.

Mrs. Urps' first graders enjoyed reviewing core content from the Astronomy Domain during their culminating activities on Friday.

2nd grade is learning how to measure in inches, feet, and yards. We made our own yard sticks and measured things in our room! We discussed the comparisons between each unit!

First grade astronomers in Mrs. Urps class created a replica of the Big Dipper with realistic stars. Do you know why stars are different colors? These astronomers do!

Mrs. Urps' class used 2-dimensional shapes to compose NEW 2-dimensional shapes. Do you know how many trapezoids it takes to make a hexagon? These first graders do!
