Especially his much older ones because of its explicit lyrics and horrid themes it carries (such as R***, Necro, Cann!b4l!sm, etc.)

@TuBon_gRips @bbnomula Only thing with that makes AI “art” not art is, it’s not created by a human. The prompt is made by a human which leads to the AI to creating it. Ai “art” isnt considered art but rather its own category separate from art.

Yes, and AI artists are expressing their human creative skill and imagination in the form of a prompt to guide the creative tool of their choice to produce a desired output to be appreciated primarily for its beauty or emotional power. I enjoyed drawing, painting, sculpting, and woodworking when I was able to do those things. Now that my body has decided I no longer get to enjoy those things, prompting is as close as I can get. My desire to create dictates that I do so. I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, producing music. I also enjoy prompting Suno to get its take on my ideas. The ultimate goal is to build a library of samples from its output, but sometimes its output so perfectly captures the concept I was trying to express (WITH THE LYRICS I WROTE MYSELF, MIND YOU) that I, instead, take those stems and simply remix what it gives me. I'll agree there's little or no value in taking the result of a prompt like "drawing of a tree" and posting it as some revolutionary work of art worthy of praise. But as a jumping off point for one's own creation? Why the fuck not? And don't throw "because a REAL artist should be getting PAID for it!" out there as your reasoning. There is so much creative commons and public domain material out there that REAL ARTISTS are CONSTANTLY remixing, rehashing, and re-releasing and NOBODY is being paid for ANY of it. Remixing AI output is literally no different. It's a tool. Like any other tool, there are tools out there who will abuse it and misuse it, like the jackass who insists on pounding a nail in with the blunt end of a screwdriver. Then, there are those of us who use it properly, deconstructing its output just like any other public domain work we might choose to remix, and creating something new, something real, something human, from the bones. No true artist discounts any tool as unworthy.
