This article brings home the fact that the library is not just a place of learning and literacy, but a 'third space' of wellbeing. I challenge school leaders who say "we can't afford a library/teacher librarian/qualified library staff": How can you afford NOT to have this?

We're going to use the Thank You card templates, from @NeedSchoolLibs #ASLD website page, for staff and students to fill out and make a display. We'll ask them to focus on the 'hidden' work library staff do that's helped them.

Coordinating @NeedSchoolLibs has been an equal mix of exhilirating/challenging/rewarding (with a sprinkling of Grunt Work). In short: Exactly the kind of thing that would appeal to many school library people!
