I got into politics to fight for what I believe in. I ran for the Conservatives under @pierrepoilievre's leadership because they wanted (and want) the same things. The people of Elgin—St. Thomas—London South elected me as part of that team. I'm here to serve everyone in the community and advocate for the policies and values that got me elected. Lest there be any doubt, I'm not crossing the floor. Mark Carney is clearly comfortable surrounding himself with people who would trade their principles for power. I'm not one of them.

I am a Conservative. I have always been a Conservative. I will always stay a Conservative. I have knocked on tens of thousands of doors, held town halls, mobilized teams of faithful volunteers and have always spoken directly with voters in Middlesex-London, and before that, voters in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. They voted me in as a Conservative because we all value principles like honesty, integrity, and accountability. Sadly, we have seen an erosion of trust in Canadian politics, spurred on by opportunism, corruption, and incompetence. In January, Marilyn Gladu said MPs who cross the floor should face an immediate by-election because it erodes voter trust amid rising political corruption and scandals. Guess what… She’s RIGHT! The people of Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong put their trust in our Conservative plan to make Canada more affordable, safe, and self-reliant, not ANOTHER costly Liberal government. Marilyn Gladu has shattered that trust. Mark Carney and the Liberals are trying to stitch together a Liberal majority through backroom deals, rather than the ballot box. If Marilyn Gladu truly stands by what she said, she should have the courage to resign and let her constituents decide who will represent their best interests. To the people of Brantford—Brant South—Six Nations, you have my word — I will never betray the trust you placed in me to be your Conservative voice in Ottawa. Not now, not ever.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.

Some very recent statements in Parliament from @MarilynGladuSL. It's striking that she is willing to sit in the same caucus with people who she says think she should be in prison...
