Ava rocked the national anthem today. 🎶🎤🇺🇸 She did an amazing job kicking off Tucson’s #AmericanHeartWalk, complete with playground stops and pancakes afterward. So darn proud of this kid. I often forget she’s a #chdwarrior and has endured more than a few heart surgeries in her 13 years. We tend to focus more on laughter, great conversations, bike rides, tree climbing, playground seeking, and @LeBuzzCaffe & Dutch Bros treat stops. Ava is all heart and keeps me young at heart. I am forever thankful our paths crossed & we’re stuck with each other for life. Thank you Scott, Julie and @FoutsAva! We love you so much. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Happy Friday, #Tucson! 80 and sunny today. Surprise meetup this morning at @LeBuzzCaffe with international cyclists wearing Christmas antlers on their helmets and a sponsor logo for Homestretch Foundation. They said they’re here in Tucson to train this winter and to support the mission of #Homestretch - to help establish awareness for equality and pay parity for professional female cyclists in racing events around the world. On Fridays from Dec - May we hold a community group ride in Tucson. A 60min spin at recovery pace (15mi @ 15mph) so locals can talk to the elite/pro cyclists staying at @HomestretchFdn. Then we have coffee & pastries after at @LeBuzzCaffe. Today was the first one of the season and it marks the start of our 10th year. 50+ people joined us. I love this ride, our athletes & our community. Friday mornings feel like a giant hug. 🚴🏻‍♀️🌵🏡🥰❤️
