Nick Wright says Luka Doncic is better than SGA and SGA could fall into the Steve Nash category if he wins back to back MVPs:
“It’s just what I believe, I think Luka is better than Shai. Shai’s won a MVP, a title, Luka has done neither, I get it. They played once in the playoffs, Luka won. If you put Luka in SGA spot, Thunder are the favorites still. I think he (SGA) might be in the category although better than this player, but Steve Nash who won back to back MVPs but is not universally regarded as the best player in the league”

@okcclips @D_Will2121 @WasCheddar @Max0r21 @LegionHoops @Underdog 2.2 and SGA gets an extra 0.5 from the line, but it’s GUARANTEED Luka’s average goes up with those extra shots.
It’s not set in stone that SGA’s point average would go up if he takes 4 more shots. He could miss those or go 1/4 and drastically drop his FG%.
Hope that helps. 👍🏻
English

@HonestBallTalk @D_Will2121 @WasCheddar @Max0r21 @LegionHoops @Underdog yeah and with 4 more shots he still only avg 2 more points
English

SGA hasn’t missed a single shot in the 4th quarter/OT in over two weeks.
11-for-11.
Without a doubt, the Clutch Player of the Year. (@Underdog)

English

@D_Will2121 @WasCheddar @Max0r21 @okcclips @LegionHoops @Underdog Luka also takes 4 more shots a game lol, it’s only natural for numbers to go down with high volume
English

@Ricky247247 @NBA__Courtside They’re really trying to leave him off an All-NBA first team. It’s sickening.
These guys have votes.
English

@HonestBallTalk @NBA__Courtside Exactly. It boils down to he doesn’t like Luka because the color of his skin. We have to accept that’s what a lot of these guys like Kendrick Perkins and Lou Williams and Chris Haynes won’t admit out loud. But it’s entirely obvious it’s race related
English

Chris Haynes believes there’s no way Luka Doncic can overtake SGA or Wemby in the MVP race:
“Should Luka be in the MVP conversation? Yes, but what does that ultimately mean? He’s not going to win it… JJ Redick goes and vouches for his guy, rightfully so. It’s one thing to vouch, and it’s one thing to flat out lie. If Luka finishes the season out strong, there’s still no way that he should overtake SGA. There’s still no way if the Spurs finish 2nd, he will overtake Wemby. Then, there’s also a case he shouldn’t even overtake Jaylen Brown! If we want to debate Luka should be top 5, I’ll give you that. I’m not going any further than that”

@breaklawst @TronHoopsAgain @TheDunkCentral Tall with a long wingspan. You’re literally affecting the game without doing a thing. Deter drives from smaller players. Less chasing around screens. Not dealing with elite ball-handlers. Centers have an extremely low bar to look decent. Also see the least offensive “star” power.
English

@HonestBallTalk @TronHoopsAgain @TheDunkCentral not true, and jokic plays great defense for a center his size and athleticism, luka just chooses not to play defense (lazy) and i hate that for him cs he’d be a unanimous mvp
English

Imagine averaging 27.9 PPG, 12.9 RPG, and 10.8 APG on 67.4% TS — and finishing 4th in the MVP race.
Jokić is on pace to become the first player in NBA HISTORY to lead the league in rebounds AND assists.
He’s actually averaging more PTS, REB, and AST than he did in his last MVP season.
This is one of the craziest MVP races in history.

English

@breaklawst @TronHoopsAgain @TheDunkCentral …
You’re aware centers have the easiest time just being an “active” defender right?
English

@TronHoopsAgain @TheDunkCentral 6’7 luka shouldn’t be lazy to play defense. he’s not a center, he’s fat and lazy so yes it matters for his size
English

@Gottesverstand @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Ah yes, I forgot that the MVP was decided by a postseason run
I’m actually more of a Bron fan than Curry lol, but in the 2015-2016 regular season there wasn’t one player in the association touching Steph 🤷🏻♂️
English

@HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Well in the 2016 postseason Steph was brutally outperformed by LeBron and choked a 3-1 lead. This is the story most Curry fans love to leave out when they claim Steph was the best player in 2016. You can't be the best player if your postseason production dropped this crazy.
English

@Gottesverstand @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Well the good thing about that is KD wasn’t on the Warriors when Steph was the unanimous MVP!
How are you the “best in the world” when you’re “coasting” through a season? Best in the world is relative to PRODUCTION.
No one was fucking with Steph 2015-2016 lol
English

@HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Sorry I misread it but even with Steph there was the general opinion that Bron was still the best player in the world but was coasting the regular season. Steph was struggling more to be seen the best player on his own team during the KD era.
English

@2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside No, I do think Luka should win, but I’m a realistic fan of basketball and can see why SGA would win.
However, it gets annoying as a fan of a player to see him constantly disrespected by voters and see narratives around the award change depending on the MVP race.
English

@HonestBallTalk @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside So what you’re basically saying is that you don’t even think Luka should win, you’re really just mad that’s he’s in 3rd or 4th instead of 2nd😂😂😂
English

@40ballsniper @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside Yes, because I’M saying it is the best player in the world award. Hands down. Not one player in the league was fucking with Steph.
Your BOYFRIEND is the one saying it’s not that award and is the “most valuable to a team” award.
Direct that reply to him, my man.
English

@HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside But u said Steph was deservedly the mvp in 2016 and best player and the warriors went undefeated when he didn’t play and even won a series without him. Also Jordan team finished as a top 3 seed without him and Scottie finish 3rd in mvp. That don’t mean nun
English

@Gottesverstand @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside …
You’re aware that we’re talking about the Wardell Stephen Curry when we say the only unanimous MVP, correct?
You gotta be joking dawg 😭😭😭😭
English

@HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Nash never changed basketball. It was D'Antonio's 7 seconds or less system that changed the NBA. Nash was an elite system player but he was never seen as the best in the world. Stop saying that bs.
English

@40ballsniper @Gottesverstand @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside Go through my replies, I actually praise SGA all the time, and what he’s doing, efficiency and TO wise, this year is nuts. Shaisexuals just act like there’s no other talented basketball players to walk this earth.
The latter portion of your comment is very ironic.
English

@Gottesverstand @HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside Exactly my point bro, these Luka fans can NEVER have a conversation in good faith.
English

@40ballsniper @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside Not your thread to comment on pipsqueak but LA literally was a .500 team before they beat the Washington fucking Wizards. Nice. 7-6 now. Still on track for the 10 seed. 👍🏻
OKC blows legit teams out in the absence of SGA. Barely lost to two healthy contenders back to back games.
English

@HonestBallTalk @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside Every mvp candidate team has an above .500 record without them. That’s a poor way to judge mvp in 2026 but salute.
English

@40ballsniper @2live_mari @NBA__Courtside You’re an SGA fan so obviously you don’t agree with this post.
What now?
English

@2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside I said Joker deserved MVP last year. He did. There was not a better basketball player, or for your peanut brain, a more valuable player to their team than him last season.
There’s no “clearcut” best player in the league right now, that’s why Luka should get more MVP love.
English

@40ballsniper @HonestBallTalk @NBA__Courtside He keeps saying so and so deserved mvp over this person because they had better stats and were the best player in the league by far, not realizing that this same argument and logic works against Luka as well because Luka also isn’t the best player in the league by far 😂😂😂😂
English

@2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Let me guess, you’re a Shaisexual.
So if it’s not a best player award, and just “most valuable”, why is SGA the favorite right now with Wemby in a close second when both teams have damn near a .700 win % without them? Answer me that, champ.
English

@HonestBallTalk @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Once again, the MVP is NOT a best player in the league award😂. If it was guys like Jordan, LeBron, Kobe would have 10, plus The funny giving is that even if it was, Luka isn’t considered the best in the word by far like u say Jokic is, so your argument falls apart regardless 😂
English

@2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside You might be retarded, no one is saying “SGA is Steve Nash”, they’re categorizing the situation, and rightfully so.
Who the fuck didn’t think Steph was the best in the world during that time? The dude had the most offensive gravity ever and changed how basketball is played.
English

@40ballsniper @HonestBallTalk @NBA__Courtside He’s basically saying that Sga is Steve Nash because other players had an argument for mvp over them and that the mvp is a BITW awards Which makes 0 sense considering we’ve only had one unanimous mvp in the history of the game, and even HE wasn’t universally considered BITW😂😂
English

@2live_mari @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside Because Joker was averaging 30/13/10 on 58/42 splits?
Joker was the best player in the world last year and it wasn’t relatively close, the same with all his MVP years, unfortunately Joker got hit with that Bron fatigue and probably won’t get to see another award again.
English

@HonestBallTalk @40ballsniper @NBA__Courtside How did he not deserve it last year? Especially if we look at the precedent for mvp winners ? You could make a case that almost every mvp had someone else that year who deserved it.( it’s why mvp debates exist 😂) So yes, it is a moot point.
English

@TheDunkCentral @RunItBackFDTV “Unfortunately for Luka, he doesn’t have enough melanin to compete with other MVP candidates.”
-Lou Williams
English

Lou Williams doesn't think Luka Doncic's case for MVP is realistic
"Unfortunately for Luka... SGA, Jaylen Brown, Wemby have had a bigger impact on his team."
(Via @RunItBackFDTV )

English

Lou knows what it takes to be a bucket off the bench. He’s saying what a lot of veterans think: MVP means elevating your team. SGA leads the best team in the West. Wemby turned the Spurs into a playoff threat. The Mavs are fighting for a Play-In spot. Narrative matters, and right now, Luka’s narrative is losing.
