A new resident arrived this week, our socially creative activity gave him opportunity to meet new people. It’s been great to see individuals designing and facilitating the activities themselves, taking ownership of what goes on in their community 👍🏻 #ProgressionPIPE

... to our new operational lead who brings a lot of enthusiasm and we can’t wait to see how he helps the unit flourish even more 👍🏻 change can be tough but everyone has welcomed him to our community #ProgressionPIPE

A little late but we recently said a sad farewell to our operational lead who has been with us the last few years & contributed to massive developments on the unit 👋🏻 He will be missed hugely but will no doubt take some of the PIPE ethos into his next role 😊 And welcome...

Lots of supervision this week thinking about the new people in our service & how we can work effectively with them. A keyworker also had a follow up conversation with someone who left a few months ago & is managing well in an open establishment 👍🏻 #OPDpathway #ProgressionPIPE

Last week we said goodbye to our Governor who has supported PIPE throughout his time at Hull 👍🏻 enjoy your well deserved retirement @TOliverhu9 and we welcome a new Governor who we look forward to introducing to the world of PIPEs! #OPDpathway

@Psych_SEllis I’m pretty sure it was Nick Benefield who was a creator of PIPEs! I imagine it stemmed from PIEs but not 100%.. good question!

We had a new arrival join our service today from a secure hospital, very thorough handover and lots of multidisciplinary input to make this a helpful transition to maintain the changes he has made so far 👍🏻 #OPDpathway #ProgressionPIPE

What a busy week.. transfers for 4 of our men to open prisons; such a huge step in their journey but one they’ve prepared for over a no of years. We’re now trying to improve our follow up process by liaising with our #OPDpathway colleagues so we can continue to provide support 👍🏻

Looking forward to bringing some of our PIPE activities back, everyone on the unit is feeling positive 👍🏻

We attended a multidisciplinary meeting today regarding a man being transferred to the PIPE; lots of discussion about this transition & how to best support him. Lots of support from @HmpHull & our healthcare partners to put effective plans in place 👍🏻 #OPDpathway #ProgressionPIPE

We missed a lot of colleagues that unfortunately couldn’t attend due to COVID related circumstances but received some wonderful messages and reflections of the service over the years 😊 our residents did a great job helping to arrange the event...

Last week we celebrated 10 years of @HullPIPE! We held a couple of small events with colleagues involved with the service including a visit from previous PIPE staff! It was such a brilliant occasion to look back on the last 10 years & all that the staff & residents have achieved!

Today we heard from a previous resident who’s getting on well in open conditions. He sent a letter to explain the transition and to help reduce anxieties of others waiting to transfer, he still feels a part of the community despite having left us some months ago! #ProgressionPIPE
