You rarely see followers of other religions going online daily to say "Christianity is a peaceful religion," "Buddhism is a peaceful religion," "Hinduism is a peaceful religion," "Taoism is a peaceful religion," "Zoroastrianism is a peaceful religion," or "Judaism is a peaceful religion."

Si l'« insulte » était le véritable critère, le Coran lui-même serait interdit en public, compte tenu de la haine et de la déshumanisation qu'il véhicule envers les athées et les polythéistes.
S'opposer à l'insulte sans appliquer ce critère de manière cohérente n'est qu'un prétexte pour conférer un statut particulier à son idéologie. Il ne s'agit pas réellement d'insulte.
