#OnThisDay 1470, the trial of John Tiptoft, Earl of Worcester, so-called “Butcher of England”, and Yorkist leader in the #WarsOfTheRoses, took place. He'd been captured, after the Lancastrian restoration, in Weybridge Forest, the remnants of which now survive at Brampton Woods.
