@scsthindu @pratiklokh19190 There is no such thing like vedic people. Even samhitas don't really talk about karma or reincarnation doesn't mean they didn't exist in the Vedas. Samiths are just one part of broder vedic canon

@pratiklokh19190 Samhitas are completely silent about ashtanga yoga. We see ashtanga yoga references in Indus valley then with 1000 years of gap with Sramanas. So, Vedic people never knew about yoga.

Yoga is not property of Vedic Hinduism. It originated with Shaivism in Indus valley later on Vedic people, Buddhists, Jains adopted it. Patanjali yoga Sutra applies to those who follow Vedic path. Not to Saiva religion as it predates Vedic religion.

Yoga is not open to everyone. If anyone wants to practice Yoga they have to follow Sanatana Dharma. Ishwar-Pranidhana is mandatory to practice Yoga. Ishwar as defined by Hindu Shastras is the final objective of practicing Yoga.

@JaiSriMadhav @pissofyourmom That's the kshatriya'ization/sanskritization plot of the brahmins to erase the actual identity of the south indian emperors. All of them; Chola, Chera, Pandya, Pallava all belong to the ancient MALLA tribe. The Sangam literature is the proof of this.

Bilvastakam is one of the most beautiful shlokas composed by HH Jagadguru Acharyal. Moves me tears everytime I listen to it. In just 32 years, it's beyond human comprehension how Acharyal achieved SOOO many things!

India's ancient varna system classified society by occupation/qualities (Brahmins: priests; Kshatriyas: rulers/warriors; etc.), later rigidifying into birth-based jatis. Post-1947, SC (formerly marginalized groups) and ST (indigenous) get reservations for upliftment. The tweet notes fluidity: Pasis (now SC, traditionally toddy-tappers) claim medieval kings like Bijli Pasi/Suheldev in UP/Bihar, who resisted invasions. Meenas (ST) ruled Rajasthan's Dhundhar/Amber pre-11th century Rajput dominance; tied to Mahabharata's Matsya. Cholas: Powerful Tamil dynasty (9th-13th CE) built empires, temples, trade; elite origins, some modern claims in OBC/SC. Valmikis (SC, sanitation workers) trace to sage Valmiki (Ramayana author, legendary humble roots); martial folklore. History shows mobility via conquests/alliances, not fixed Brahmin-led oppression—rulers from varied backgrounds across regions.

The infographic is mostly accurate—it ranks by earliest known *written* records of languages still in continuous (if limited) use today. Sanskrit's Vedic texts were composed ~1500 BCE but transmitted orally; its first written inscriptions appear only ~1st century BCE (Brahmi script). That's after Tamil's ~3rd century BCE Tamil-Brahmi records, so Sanskrit doesn't crack this top-6 list by written attestation.

@IAmOneSpirit @chotachetan321 There is a difference between 'rejecting Vedas' and considering 'vedas as the highest authority'. You are mixing the two. Siddhars considered direct experience as the ultimate authority. Siddhars do not follow rituals such as yagyas. They believe yoga is the yagya.

Vaasi Yogam In Tamil Siddha Tradition, Shiva is seen as the first yogi (Adiyogi) & first guru (Adiguru). Tirumular says, "amongst all yogis, Shiva is the highest yogi". The word Vaasi means 'inner breath' or 'prana' flowing through nadis. (1/6)

@_shiva_shambo @chotachetan321 It is wrong to quote siddhars spiritually elevated quote out of context. The same Thirumular who said ondre Kulam orubvane devan also dedicated sections for how Brahmins and kings should live. The former is told from spiritually elevated level while the latter is mudane level.

@IAmOneSpirit @chotachetan321 Vedas have been acknowledged, not considered the highest authority. Sivavakkiyar says: சாத்திரங்கள் ஓதுகின்ற சட்டநாத பட்டரே! வேர்த்து இரைப்பு வந்தபோது வேதம் வந்து உதவுமோ? மாத்திரைப்போ தும்உளே மறிந்து தொக்க வல்லீரேல் சாத்திரப்பை நோய்கள் ஏது சத்தி முத்தி சித்தியே!

@chotachetan321 Tamil Siddhars don't treat Vedas as authority. They have their own traditions and methods. They are only concerned with Shiva and somewhat Shakti. It's more energy related, no mugging up texts. Textbook knowledge is discouraged, they are concerned only with experiential.

@proudlysaffron1 @HarshSharm111 @IndianTintin_ @grok Even Brahmins didn't speak Sanskrit. Many from such communities participated in temple rituals and listen to Ithihasa Puranas. For example Dharmakartas of all temples located near my place are classified as most backward/backward. This include many temples with brahmin preists.

Indian Subcontinent and Europe are similar in some ways. Both are heirs to three civilisations each. Indian Subcontinent 1. Hindu - India, Nepal 2. Buddhist - Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Burma 3. Islamic - Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives. Europe 1. Western - Shaped by Roman Catholicism and Protestantism. Nordic States, Germany, UK, Mediterranean States are examples. 2. Orthodox - Shaped by Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia are examples. 3. Islamic - Albania, Bosnia, Turkey. But notice how the Indian Subcontinent has 2.5x Europe's population and still has only half a dozen nations in comparison to 44 in Europe. Bonds are much stronger in the Indian Subcontinent. Why? Sanskritisation by the much demonised Brahmin class of Men. They moved to every part of the Subcontinent and acted as a unifying force, integrating locals into the Hindu mainstream. Subcon unity is a 3k year old continuing evolving Brahmin project. Any Brahmin supporting regionalism is spitting on his ancestors.

And eventually let Tamil die - as has happened in most states ??!! Why not accept Tamil , the oldest language in the world as the language everyone must learn and make it India’s official language??!! 🤔🤔🤔 A language the world understands ( even closed countries like China today have English written in all tourist places ) is enough for us Tamils and we have prospered and thrived with our two languages policy !! 👍🏽😍 If we want to live in North , we will learn Hindi ! 🌸💝

@grok @Oseasokie @yashwanthbharat @Iniyanspeaks Inscriptions in early Tamil brahmi are very short ones with several words to very few lines. Full length inscriptions are coming way after 5th century. But for sanskrit we have full length inscriptions are from 1st century BC @grok

Sanskrit's age comes from its oral Vedic texts like the Rigveda, composed ~1500-1200 BCE (scholarly consensus via linguistics, archaeology & comparative Indo-European studies). It was memorized & transmitted precisely for 1000+ years before first inscriptions ~1st century BCE. Oral doesn't mean "not old"—it's how ancient Indian knowledge was preserved. Both Tamil & Sanskrit are ancient, just different traditions.

@IAmOneSpirit @RanjitRajanDr @sandeep_PT St Thomas came in 72 AD and Thomas of Cana came at least 200 years after that. 2 people who came to India from the same area can have same names.
