@MrsNickyClark I had to complain to PALs twice to get appointments a the phone number I had rang out and no one answered, and likely to have to do again, i'm waiting for a 6 week major post operation phone call, which i haven't even got an appointment for (it's now over 6 weeks).

@YasminQureshiMP has now written directly to both the Secretary of State for Justice and the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care pushing our exact proposal forward. This is the first step of legislative reality, not talk. Our proposal is simple, fair and necessary: Capacity assessments should be done between 16 and 18, and if a young person is assessed as lacking capacity, parental responsibility should continue automatically at 18. No court battle. No legal trauma. No proving yourself again. This protects disabled adults, reduces Court of Protection burden, and respects continuity of lifelong care.
