A little interesting fact: During World War II, soldiers hated snipers so much that they almost never spared their lives, not even when they surrendered with their hands up. Perhaps an American soldier told a story about his comrade putting an entire Thompson submachine gun magazine into a German sniper who surrendered after being unable to escape after attacking the Americans. (I may be wrong and saying untrue things)
