This is the humiliation Trump never saw coming. While Washington postures and stumbles, Zelensky is doing what real leaders do: turning Ukraine’s pain, knowledge, and survival into something the world now needs. That is the irony. The country so many tried to lecture and betray now holds some of the most valuable battlefield knowledge on earth — drones, air defense, and survival under constant attack. Ukraine was treated like a burden. Now it looks like the backbone of modern security.

It's Kobayashi Maru time for Trump - if he backs down, its a massive strategic failure for the US - if he continues, the chance of strategic success is low - and we're back to probable strategic failure. Yes, the US have air superiority, so they can continue to hit Iranian missiles and drones from the air, and hunt this week's Supreme Leader from the air. But Iran is a complex operational environment, and I'm not convinced that the US and Israel can actually achieve their declared objectives purely from bombing Iran. Ground forces mean another forever war - and that's political oblivion for Trump and the entire MAGA movement. He's not going to use nukes.

Everyone is expecting TACO as oil prices soar and the war becomes increasingly unwinnable without a ground invasion I don’t know. Kinda don’t think so. Trump could stay the course, if only bc he doesn’t know how to back down and doesn’t remotely grasp the strategic issues. But his reptilian id will grasp that this is the defining moment of his presidency. So, like LBJ, he’ll step up the bombing in an effort to brute force his way to victory.

🇺🇦 A Ukrainian soldier was sitting alone in a trench when a Russian T-72B3 tank moved in front of his position. The fighter assembled and prepared an FPV kamikaze drone, launched it, and struck the rear part of the turret, disabling the tank. 🔺 After the Russian tank crew exited the damaged vehicle, they opened intense fire toward his trench. At that moment, a Ukrainian drone operator in a neighboring trench, who was covering his comrade, dropped munitions from a bomber drone, detonating them and neutralizing the tank crew — one was killed on the spot, while two others were wounded and later captured by members of a mortar unit.

Weirdly, Iranian embassy in Pretoria notified us, Ukrainian diplomats, about opening a book of condolences in memory of ayatollah Khamenei and the military leadership of Iran. I decided to respond - and do it in a public way. The letter explains why. Your Excellency, Mr. Ambassador,   Since you notified the Embassy of Ukraine of the book of condolences for deceased Ayatollah Khamenei and Iran’s military leadership, I feel compelled to remind you the following.   As military allies of the Russian Federation, the deceased leaders of Iran had on their hands the blood of thousands of Ukrainian citizens – men and women, children and elderly – killed with the help of the infamous Iran-made “Shahed” drones and other military know-how so eagerly provided to Russia by your government. Your leaders were complicit in bringing endless grief to Ukrainian civilians.   Being a person of faith, I try not to rejoice in the death of other people, even those who chose to be tormentors of my country that did nothing bad to theirs. But as someone who has spent three years to the tune of Iran-created machines of death howling every night in the sky over Kyiv and other peaceful Ukrainian cities, I cannot help but wish for every culprit to meet the justice they deserve. If not by human law, then in the face of God Almighty.   Ambassador, I do not know you personally and have no grudge against you. Sometimes good diplomats must speak for bad leaders and their policies. This makes for extraordinary watching. An Irish keffiyeh-clad man accuses Iranians of being ‘puppets’ when they try to tell him that the Islamic Regime has killed more Iranians than anyone. An Irish woman tells the Iranians to ‘go back to your own country’, which is just astonishing for an Irish ‘refugees welcome’ leftist to say (I suppose that welcome does not extend to refugees who challenge pre-existing biases about the Middle East). She also denies the tens of thousands killed by the Regime in recent weeks, which visibly upsets an Iranian woman.

The Iran-Russia Axis is not a learning entity. The Supreme Leader was destroyed at a breakfast meeting with all of his senior officials, so three days later the Islamic Republic gathered the ninety most senior revolutionary clerics in one building that Israel has hit. Amazing.

4 years ago at the 2022 Olympic Games. Unfortunately, over these years this call for peace has only become even more relevant. Also over these 4 years, the IOC has changed dramatically. Back then, in that action, they saw a call for peace and did not apply any sanctions against me. Now, at the Olympics, we have already seen a large number of Russian flags in the stands, on the helmet of one of the athletes - and for the IOC, this is not a violation. Yet a violation was found in the “helmet of memory”, which pays tribute to members of the Ukrainian sports family who have been killed since the last Olympic Games were held. The truth is on our side. I hope for a fair final decision from the IOC.
