I’ve been refining the prompts so the AI guides Howie through C++ instead of just giving answers. I also keep stressing the importance of self-learning, he’s gradually relying less on teachers and focusing more on building problem-solving skills with LLMs guidance.

Today Howiezilla first time taking the C++ certification exam. We’re going in with the mindset that it’s mainly for him to experience a real testing environment, so the second attempt in June is the one we’re really aiming to pass.
AI may replace 99.9% coding in the future, but understanding AI still requires a coder’s mindset, and realizing that is what truly drives his motivation.

Howiezilla skipping monster drawing this weekend to self-study C++ for his first programming exam next Saturday. I don’t expect him to pass this time, but it’ll be great practice for the retake in June. I’m proud I could guide him to learn from e-books and AI, he’s already using prompts instead of relying on a teacher. In the AI era, self-learning is a key skill; it builds his coding ability and deepens his understanding of how AI behaves.
