@WKavengi Enroute to Busia from Kakamega one time, we had to wait for a lady who stays close to the road. She had stopped the vehicle but was just beginning to take lunch. We waited till she was done.

The village is always an interesting place coz in the matatu, just before the trip to town 40km away, one of the passengers said he forgot his phone at home and the driver drove us all back to his homestead to get his phone.

I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.

This is just another exaggerated thing said to women’s defense. Motherhood is not a 24/7/365. A baby needs constant supervision and less of it as they become older. They also spent a lot of time sleeping when very small. Then when they start going to preschool and further their education, they are away for 6 to 8 hours. It’s gets easier as they grow and become self sufficient. Enough with this 24/7/365 bullshit Men are working their whole lives for their families. Even if the kids move out.
