Currently a Red Hat SRE always a GitOps nerd at heart. Secretly just a very smart bird. https://t.co/vt1nBrQZpO https://t.co/BJDKI1Nm2k

Fridays I do my #GitOps Guide to the Galaxy planning. I've already locked in my episodes for the end of the year, but I'm thinking about starting off CY2023 with GitOps + HybridCloud and Cloud Native Migrations as my themes. What episodes topics are on your wishlist?

GitOpsGuide pushed to next week because of scheduling conflicts! Not sure if we'll do two back to back or just start a new cadence. See you then!

@todaywasawesome There's a long history of conflicts occurring in code bases with source control where the code would break based on what happened between check out and commit. When developers weren't consistent. Especially as editors tried to do things automatically creating problems.

@todaywasawesome At the time editors and IDEs didn't all parse tabs correctly. Spaces were universal but tabs weren't. That's become less the case, but tabs would often break code outside of the environment where it was written.

Kid: What are you doing? Me: Witchcraft. Kid: It looks like you're making soup. Me: Soup is witchcraft. Kid: No it isn't. Me: Yes it is. We put plants, spices, and dead animals into a cauldron and follow the instructions in this ancient book. Kid: OMG.

@todaywasawesome That's what I would do. I've had mine since April. No major issues. The screen glitching came with a recent software update, and for all I know the one from this week took it away. It's too rare for me to know yet.

Every now and again someone asks me if I know @kelseyhightower. Someday someone is going to ask him if he knows me. Probably because I'll bribe them with stickers, but it'll still count.
