@InverseTranspos @Fintech03 CNR Rao and CR Rao are different. CR Rao is well known among mathematicians/statisticians. He is from AU. CNR Rao is from chemistry.

In 1945, a student asked C.R. Rao in a classroom at the Indian Statistical Institute, “How much information can we truly extract from a tiny bit of data?” Rao went home, worked through the night, & derived a fundamental inequality that sets the theoretical limit on how precisely we can estimate any parameter from data. This is now known as the Cramér-Rao Inequality (or Cramér-Rao Lower Bound). It tells engineers, physicists, & data scientists worldwide, from those building GPS systems to those searching for the Higgs boson (God Particle)...the absolute maximum precision they can ever achieve with unbiased estimators. It remains 1 of the most important speed limits in information theory & statistics.

@urstrulyNam @Fintech03 Not really, he did his MSc Chemistry from BHU in '53. May have done some other course from Andhra Uni. Interestingly, former ISRO director UR Rao did his MSc physics from BHU in '54. They would have likely crossed paths in BHU given that both dept are next to each other :-)

@Fintech03 He got his masters from Andhra University and recently heard some nice stories about him from his direct students and a colleague. Sad these are not documented or written anywhere.

@Fintech03 More history- BHU, particularly IT-BHU(now IIT-BHU)was bastion of RSS (&AbVP) and there was a whole building for them.one VC(congress leader) KL Srimali got it demolished overnight(during emergency iirc).BHU has produced many national political leaders.

Some history here: Before leading the RSS, Golwalkar used to teach Zoology at BHU (Banaras Hindu University). He was so popular that his students nicknamed him Guruji not because of religion, but because of his encyclopedic knowledge of animal biology & evolution. Dr. Hedgewar was a brilliant medical student at National Medical College, Calcutta. He chose Calcutta because it was the epicenter of the revolutionary underground (Anushilan Samiti). Hedgewar was sent by nationalist leaders from Nagpur specifically to study medicine while gaining 1st hand experience in revolutionary organization & techniques. As a medical student & later qualified doc, he used his professional status & travels as effective cover to connect with revolutionaries, carry messages, & support efforts to procure arms & supplies for the freedom struggle across British lines.

@DivaJain2 Any half-decent organizer would do the same-have everything arranged and arrive at least 30m before arrival of guests. In addition to being rude it shows lackluster attitude. Imagine calling guests home for dinner and you are no where to be seen when the guests arrive.

Shoddy defense of mediocrity I organized several events at Xavier's Calcutta. SOP = Students ready + waiting @ Depilchin Audi at least 30 mins before ETA of guest. Dress code = formal. Cross talk + slouching was severely discouraged Miranda has same standards as Presidency Kol :)

भले विचार मिले ना मिले लेकिन बुला के समय से ना पहुंचना अनुचित है and reflects poorly on the organizers.

To the Principal, staff and students of Miranda College, Delhi University, you need to respect the Chief Guest you invite for your events. I was there for a no show! I have posted the videos and pix here so that you learn that tardiness equals to disrespect. No staff and 4-5 students. Flow chart & evidence posted

Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut at 16+; Football icons Pelé and Lionel Messi debuted in Brazil and Barcelona teams at 16; Boris Becker won Wimbledon at 17; Michael Phelps qualified for the 2000 Olympics at 15; and many such examples abound! The argument that the very talented 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s India debut should be delayed, or not be “rushed” by a former Indian captain - defies both logic and empirical evidences!

@danvir_chauhan You are conflating multiple things. Yes it is deplorable and disgusting to sing and dance on such songs (regardless if boy or girl) but why are you insinuating that all muslims are deshdrohi while all hindus are not?

This is highly sickening, it’s deliberately targeting Muslims which is deplorable. How will the Muslim soldiers feel seeing this nonsense, I wonder. When I went to college, I recall, the boys would suddenly stop it (galiyan) on seeing girls nearing them. Now women use these far more freely, openly and boldly. Word has changed.

@aravind Speaking of conspiracy-What if its not AAP but the parties who propped up AAP (open society et al) are now promoting him,given that AK couldn't do at center what they expected him to. He is spending money on promo. Sneaking in Chaddha to ruling party can be a long term game.

My conspiracy is: He's being sent out as a trojan by AAP with all this drama. In the hopes the ruling party will take him in and they can sabotage the govt from the inside. If no conspiracy, then AAP has sabotaged itself from the inside. He's was so good, they couldn't tolerate.
