The main crane for AOPS 7 has been lifted and loaded onto the vessel. Designed and built in Chester, NS, this @HawboldtIND crane weighs approximately 65,000kg and can lift over 20,000kg. We are proud to be working with local Canadian suppliers to build ships for Canada.

AOPS #8, the future CCGS Sermilik, is steadily progressing in the Module Hall at Halifax Shipyard. We recently erected unit 175 to the centre mega block of the final Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship. Built by Canadians, for Canadians.

Last week, we successfully lifted and flipped the first unit for the first River-class destroyer, the future HMCS Fraser. Work is steadily progressing on this unit and the program, as we look to lay the keel for the first ship of the @RoyalCanNavy's future fleet later this year.

The Assembly Hall at Halifax Shipyard is filling up as we continue the build process for AOPS 8, the future CCGS Sermilik. AOPS 8 is the final AOPS being constructed as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy and will be delivered to @CoastGuardCAN upon completion.

The future of Canadian Coast Guard offshore patrol vessels is here. The future CCGS Donjek is one of two AOPS being constructed to operate as the primary conservation and protection vessel on Canada's east coast. We will launch and deliver AOPS 7 to @CoastGuardCAN next year.

The future CCGS Donjek. The grand block and bow mega block have been successfully rolled to level to form the first Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship for the Canadian Coast Guard. This is the first time a grand block has been rolled to land level at Halifax Shipyard.
