pbs kids and qubo did something I don't think I've really seen any other network do wherein a generic intermission bumper (not a Next, or a promo or anything other than a generic-ass bump) *always* played right after a program ended, no matter what. sometimes a super old one too

Happy April Fool's Day! 🥸 Did you know ARTHUR'S APRIL FOOL (1983) marks the first appearance of Binky Barnes?

In the 2010s, it was extremely rare to see Season 1 on air, so it is nice to see these classic episodes back in the normal show rotation, and even exceeding the once-per-year expectation.

Just some commentary... So far in 2026, we've been seeing A LOT of Season 1, including some episodes more than once already. Over the past several years, most episodes average one airing per year (some get inflated numbers because they air for special occasions like a holiday).

In memory of Kevin Sampson (1954-2026) ~ Kevin was an artist, best known for his found-object sculptures. He made a special guest appearance on ARTHUR in 2021. In Season 24 Episode 1a, "George Scraps His Sculpture", Kevin inspires George to create a sculpture in an art show.
