Kendrick Lamar isn't absolved of criticism because he acknowledges that he's a hypocrite, that's very much true, but for the life of me, I don't understand being fixated on the moral consistencies of celebrities and especially looking to then for that in the first place

it just kind of sucks that it had to come at the cost of the established ethos. CN needs to be at its best for adult swim to be at its best, as in not airing My Adventures with Superman anymore

so yes while I do think late CN lacked charm especially the hat-trick of AT&T-era faux anime greenlights and it needed a shakeup for that alone... I can't "argue" with modern adult swim. guess that's why R&M is still on. cool I guess

adult swim died... to allow cartoon network to resume operation under its name. we still got toonami, decent-performing and culturally relevant originals, reruns of classics, AMERICAN DAD... this is the deal they were cut. and they took it.

@CoreRiff Lol, i doubt that, that still kicking with orginal programming (the upcooming rick and morty (they will not kill that?, that SuperMutant Magic Academy show…) honestly AS is the only part of the channel that has a pulse.

cable for cartoons died because at some point it became financially/politically cool to stop primarily hiring people who were skilled at what they did
fortunately that's where indie can take over if more non-upper class people realize they too can make art some way or another
