Brenda, your dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the people of our province have been an inspiration. The moment you swore me in as New Brunswick’s first woman premier will always hold a special place in my heart. Your work over the past five years has been a constant source of hope and comfort for so many. You have made a meaningful impact on our province, and we are so grateful. May 5th is National Day of Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two- Spirit People. This afternoon I attended a ceremony to reflect on the meaning of Red Dress Day. I want to thank Ashley Sanipass who led today’s ceremony.

Good news from SJ Council tonight 🏘️ The newly approved Affordable Housing Soft Costs Program is a fund that will provide up to 15% of pre-construction costs up to $25K to support projects in the difficult first stages of development. This is in addition to our Affordable Housing Grant program of $200K per project.

I joined our community in honouring the National Day of Mourning for workers who lost their lives from their work. This year alone 14 people lost their life while working in New Brunswick.

On this National Day of Mourning let us remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy. #DayOfMourning
