You can style in dmc 1 the problem is that you're only touching the surface level of the combat granted dmc 1 isn't deep compared to other cag but it still has depth and tech to learn.

Nightmare has good aoe, good damage and a easy s rank when you charge it up.

@JPico77 @KaiKai2492 The weapons are poorly balanced (no reason to use Force Edge or Sparda over Alastor, because the weapon is already so much better on its own) same with Ebony and Ivory and the shotgun, both so powerful you have no reason to use Nightmare B, which ends up being niche (...)

@CebolinhaBomba1 @KaiKai2492 Sounds like a you issue since you can cancel most attacks and there's tech called slash canceling which let's you stun lock an enemy and give you an opportunity to combo them by shotgun canceling in the air or using dt attacks like vortex.

@JPico77 @KaiKai2492 The style system is completely crap, most of the strings dont connect so youre forced to spam the same attacks over and over again to build style, and when you do, you cant use certain weapons or moves with knockback because the meter goes out too quickly (...)

@KaiKai2492 Yall need to stop glazing DMC1 for "real fan" aesthetics only. It has its merits, but the controls and overall gameplay are outdated as hell and fundamentally different from what people seek in DMCs combat nowadays. Never seen someone who frequently replays DMC1 for its combat

@pambrod42 Not really the same since you're shooting zombies 90% of the time for the whole game rather than staring at a characters feet clipping through stairs which you would prob have to be in photo mode to notice.

That objectively is not moe. It's also a mediocre game with combat that barely works and a camera being yanked out of your control every 30 seconds to zoom in on the way forward in linear levels.

@shinetoeternity @Dastanovich_ Tamashiro is ungrabable and unstagerable in his second faze. Considering how you don't have access to any komaki moves by this point in the game, it's just objectivly a terrible boss fight. Plus designing a combat system with wall bounds is just bad imo.

@DariusLingLing @StellaNoxEclair But I could be wrong on the enemies not dying by the suplex easily since late game enemies tank it more easily while I only remember it doing a lot of damage on the cultist enemies.

@DariusLingLing @StellaNoxEclair Not really since you have to worry about plagas spawning after a headshot,
they usually die after the second suplex.
plus if a enemy is behind you during the animation then he's most likely gonna miss his grab and if he somehow lands it it doesn't do any damage on the player.

@DariusLingLing @StellaNoxEclair It's not about how much damage melee moves do but how you use them like repositioning by using crowd control or by using Iframes in your favor and even then the moves still did decent damage, the suplex can also instantly kill enemies while giving a lot of Iframes.

Hell, even Leon's suplex is just a time-waster as compared to remake's suplex that's just much faster, and either instantly kills the enemy or spawns the Plaga Head on the spot.
