Senate President Warren Petersen is a licensed attorney who has spent his career presiding over the creation of the law and protecting Arizona statutes. If a child is questioning their gender, school personnel should never conceal that information from their parents. They shouldn’t be setting up transition plans without parental knowledge and consent. Unfortunately, that’s happening in schools across America. @AZHouseGOP Rep. @LisaFink4AZ’s HB2249 strengthens Arizona’s Parents’ Bill of Rights because parents deserve the full picture. A child can’t get a tattoo without parental consent. They can’t book a flight without parental consent. This kind of transparency shouldn’t be controversial.
