To answer a few of the most FAQ: 1. why did u take a 5 year break? Why did you come back? I stepped away when I had a one year old and a second on the way! Wanted more family time and was burnt out and unfulfilled from the market despite being in the middle of a record year in 2020. So I took time to focus on what mattered and only came back sparingly to trade super hot sectors. I came back full time because the kids were in school/daycare full time and I was bored during the day not doing anything or working. I also wanted to challenge myself to see if I can take my trading to new heights 2. Any thoughts about the market then vs the 2025 market? First I'll say I think there is WAY more opportunity. Truly an amazing market. However, I also think smallcaps are a lot trickier than they used to be and shorting them is terrifying, for me at least. There is a perceived danger (real or imagined) that makes it very hard for me to ever be comfortable in a trade when the float is low. Hard not to make emotional choices when you are uncomfortable in a trade. I refuse to swing any smallcap short overnight, and that is a big part of what I used to do. I will put in a lot of work to see if I can develop some other short strategies I'm confident in, or I will just move off of smallcap shorting altogether and focus on other areas. 3. Do you think a cause (of your struggles) is the changes in the markets behavior? I don't want to blame the market because I did have an amazing first twelve weeks back. At the end of the day I'm the one pushing buttons and the results fall squarely on my shoulders. I fell into a super toxic mentality of chasing losses and that led me to letting PLENTY of 2-3R winners reverse fully and turn into losers because I was greedy and wanted more. I was trading off of what I wanted the chart to do vs. what I was actually seeing. If I simply locked in some winners my week would have looked way different lol. The other main mistake was overtrading, because again, chasing losses, I wanted to make them back FAST! That means greedy entries in low odds situations looking for high r/r homerun setups. So that is how a stretch like this becomes possible and why it is mostly my fault. 4. What are your actions that you do to redevelop your emotional control/discipline? Historically maintaining a loss journal and holding myself accountable and forcing myself to trade small size until the errors are cleaned up has yielded the best results for me. It's one thing to think about your mistakes at the end of the day, it's another to have a tally sheet where you can see how horrible it really got. And thank you all for the kind words and feedback on the original post! Great to be back in the trading community!

After a five year break, I came back to trading full time in May. Got off to a great start and ripped off 12 straight green weeks. Never really went through much frustration in that period, and knew that when a bad day or two came, that would be my real test to see how I handled it emotionally and responded. Well, it finally happened, and the results are in. I've got some work to do! I need to redevelop my emotional control/discipline or this comeback will be short lived!

Because Cracker Barrel has shown themselves to be poisoned by DEI and Leftism, I’m proud to announce I’ll be opening up my own stores. Currently taking applications from former Waffle House employees, retired pro wrestlers, salty nurses, retired cops, and anyone else who might knuckle up on you if you ask to speak to a manager. Seriously, though… can anyone help me get this on a t-shirt?

🚨🚨JUST IN🚨🚨 The New Orleans #Saints will have 11 MALE CHEERLEADERS for the 2025 season, replacing three female cheerleaders from the previous regime. … 12 #NFL teams we have male cheerleaders on their dance squad this season — the highest ever.

$AEO is starting to look like a nice VCP. Armchair fundamentals are: this sorority-dance trend is bringing hot girls back in style and I see lots of girls wearing denim. (The Sydney Sweeney effect?).

THE TRADER IN ME: God damn is that a good looking chart! THE ANALYST IN ME: God damn is that worthless piece of shit stock going to be a zero! How should one reconcile the two? Should fundamentals matter to a trader? Worth being cautious of the breakout?
