Alabama's DB coach Mo Linguist has built an elite secondary, rivaling Nick Saban's best. With standout players like Ivan Taylor and Red Morgan, this unit is stacked with talent and depth, proving they are a force to be reckoned with. #AlabamaFootball #CFB

This one is heavy on my heart. Like many of you, I’ve thought a lot about the tragedy involving Henry Ruggs III. A young woman lost her life… her family lost someone they can never replace… and that kind of pain doesn’t go away. My prayers will always be with them first. But I also want to talk about something we don’t always want to wrestle with… Second chances. Henry was on the Alabama team when my son Roman was a recruiter. They’re the same age. Outside of that, the only thing he and I really share is that we both wore that Alabama jersey. But that connection is enough to make me pause and think… “If it wasn’t for the grace of God… there I go.” Coach Saban said it, and Roman confirmed it: Henry was a model player and a model student. No issues. No attitude. No problems. Just a good young man doing everything right. And yet… one set of decisions… one night of rookie pressure, one night without veteran leadership, one night of trying to fit into a culture that should’ve protected him instead of pushing him—changed everything. A young woman lost her life. A family was shattered. And Henry’s life was forever altered.. And if we’re honest, a whole lot of us have had moments like that. Moments where we could’ve made a life-altering mistake. Moments where things could’ve gone left… but didn’t. Not because we were better… But because God’s grace stepped in. Now hear me clearly—grace does not erase consequences. A life was lost. That matters. That will always matter. But I also serve a God who doesn’t stop at our worst moment. A God of second chances. I’ve spent time reaching out to former players and others who ended up incarcerated—not to excuse what they did, but to help them find a way to rebuild their lives. Because I believe a mistake, even a serious one, should not automatically mean a life is over. We all want mercy when it’s our name. We all want grace when it’s our child. So this is bigger than Henry. This is about us being better— Being the friend who takes the keys. Being the voice that steps in. Being the leader when it’s uncomfortable. And at the same time… not giving up on people who fall. Because every single one of us is living on borrowed grace. If you believe in second chances… If you believe God is still in the business of redemption… I want to hear from you. 📧 Goodestrong@gmail.com Let’s talk about grace. Let’s talk about accountability. Let’s talk about rebuilding. Because if we can’t extend a hand to someone who fell, then what are we even doing? I’ve got something I want to share with you. — Kerry Goode
