@edward_w97 Always found it bit mad Harrogate were in the EFL tbh. Fair credit to them for sticking around so long.

6 seasons Harrogate spent in the EFL. 5 bottom third finishes and a high of 13th in 23-24.
Whilst it's been a peak level for a club that originates deep into non-league, they'll exit without leaving any kind of serious mark.
Not certain they fully maximised their time here...

@Project_Boro They'd had walked it if they hadn't started so slowly. If you'd said we would finish 5th ahead of the season, we'd have taken it.

Anyone feel really flat and a little irritated after that or is it just me?
I dunno if the hope of what “could still” happen has masked the reality.
But seeing us in 5th, it’s like the reality of where we’ve finished has proper hit me, and I feel absolutely rubbish about it 😂

📣 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once more.
It’s bonkers that the playoffs get rushed in the space of a week - with clubs, players, fans having to rapidly make plans.
Tomorrow, we have a five-hour round trip for the biggest game of our season. Not great, is it?

3. TWO-LEGGED PLAYOFF SEMIS It’s slightly deranged that the league rushes through the playoffs in a week. Two-legged semis gives both clubs a home game, doubles the revenue, and gives clubs some extra time to prepare. It pushes out the season another week but why not?! 🤷🏻♂️

Proof for me that the quality of the league outside of the top few sides is frankly abysmal. We were an awful L2 side last season and I’m not convinced we’re a particularly good NL side this season yet we’ve easily amassed 90 + points.
