@ActorDespairs @EquityUK @SpotlightUK @imdbpro But spotlight is profiteering off performers firstly. And have said they aren't a casting site? Equity has strong arguments for protecting their members. Please explain how equity are in bed with imdbpro..?

@JamieBChambers @EquityUK @SpotlightUK @imdbpro @SpotlightUK is far more useful to actors than the practically redundant @imdbpro. @EquityUK’s arguments against Spotlight could equally apply to IMDBPro. Why take one to the High Court and not the other? Double standards in my book.

Yesterday Equity Councillor Jassa Ahluwalia was one of 8 Equity members taking class action against Spotlight and their fees at the High Court. Now we wait for the judgment, which we should receive by October but it could be earlier - we will keep you posted.

@JamieBChambers @EquityUK I honestly don't understand what you have written. I do support Spotlight in this. Equity are in the wrong. £17 a month is not an expensive business cost, and you have no right to tell a private company what they can and can't charge for their services.

@JamieBChambers @EquityUK I've just seen Equity lost the case. Told you it would be a colossal waste of Union time and money. The money you pay them every month. There used to be an Equity job service online, I always said they should have pushed that, made it free for employers to use.

"The home of casting" that doesn't actually "cast" people? This ruling needs an appeal. SPOTLIGHT need to face up to what they are doing

@HoulihanActor @EquityUK I was an actor for nearly 20 years. I was on an Equity committee for 5 of them. And I paid for Spotlight every year. Actors will happily spend £15 in the pub, at the gym, on expensive coffee, etc. You can't plead poverty over £15 a month.
