@newbridgerfc Condolences to Dai’s family. I had the pleasure of playing with Dai but also the nightmare of playing against him. One of the true characters. RIP 🕊️💔

It is with a great amount of sorrow and sadness that we have just been informed that sadly and suddenly, our good friend and former player, David "Dai" Roberts has passed away overnight. Dai was a great player for Newbridge and later became an effective administrator at the club. In the nicest possible way and with the greatest respect, Dai was a nuisance both on and off the field and knew it (and wouldn't have had it any other way). One of life's real characters who will be sadly and sorely missed by all who knew him. We offer our condolences to Dai's family at this very sad time. RIP Dai old friend😢 🩵🕊🖤

Just a message of thanks to everyone involved with Newbridge RFC after my resignation. To the staff,players and supporters thank you for making this journey together truly amazing.Ive also been truly humbled by all the calls concerning my wellbeing thank you all.

@LeeJarvis10 Couldn’t agree more, My junior school teacher was rugby mad, then I was lucky enough to be taught by Terry Cobner in Comprehensive school and our matches were watched by the whole school….

The schools are a major problem. Unless you have a teacher that's into rugby at primary or secondary school, you have no rugby at all. Two of my biggest influences for my rugby were my primary + high school teachers, who taught me everything about the game. Those roots are gone.

We are saddened to learn that former Black & Amber, Alun Carter, has passed away. Alun made 145 appearances for the club between 1990 and 1996 during which he earned 2 caps for Wales. We send our sincere condolences to Alun's family and friends at this difficult time 🖤💛
