Surprisingly all kids who raised questions are meeting Rahul Gandhi. I mean either the kids think that we are idiots are they thing that Rahul Gandhi is smart enough to understand their issues. Either case it does not reflect well on their protest. If your protest is genuine you dont land up at the LOP house, something seems not so right about it. CBSE Kids, UPSC kids, Dipke return, Wangchuk joining, it seems one Bangldesh styled protest.

China has a concept of "naked officials." If spouse or child of a minister or senior official lives abroad permanently, they are removed. If their kids study abroad, they have to come back to China within 6 months of graduation. We should have the same rule in India.

The AAP MP who spoke about the pains of salaried class in parliament almost every other day, is now completely silent on most critical CBSE issue affecting the same class of people. There are only few countries in the world where there is absolutely no corruption. Every other country has it in varying degrees. The day to day corruption encountered by people in India is very high. The solution would not be offered by any political party or movements like IAC. RTI was a right step. Outsourcing passport processing to TCS was a right step. Laws and processes need to be such that there is a reduced scope for corruption. Moral outrage alone would not work. Some political party would simply reap the benefits. Or the anti corruption movement would become another political party which is no different from existing ones. Need to replace bureaucrats arbitrary personal approval with automated, rules based procedures. Personal approval should only be for exceptions. We've to start somewhere.

I don't know why government is completely losing the pulse of people. After the big mess up in CBSE, the punishment is moving the person to agriculture department. No accountability yet at the Minister level. Is it not a travesty of natural justice?

RBI releases WSS (Weekly Statistical Supplement) data every week. I checked the latest releases on May 22 and May 29. Gold reserves (as of May 15): $119,317 million. Gold reserves (as of May 22): $114,786 million. Around $4.5B drop. The LBMA gold price barely moved that week. $4,553/oz on May 15 to $4,515/oz on May 22. That price move explains only ~$1B of the drop. The remaining ~$3.5B is not explained by the price move. This is most likely the data Bloomberg worked with. RBI has denied sale of gold, so there may be some other reason explaining this drop, which we do not know yet.

Bloomberg said RBI sold $12 billion of gold. RBI's data: gold share of reserves rose from 13.92% to 16.85%. PIB Fact Check officially called the claim fake. The actual numbers from September 2025 to May 22, 2026: 13.92% → 16.70% → 16.85%. Physical stock unchanged per Monthly Bulletin. The Bloomberg framing said "panic selling to shield reserves from Iran war fallout." The RBI's own data shows steady accumulation through the same period. Verify before you trade narratives. Especially the ones that confirm prevailing sentiment.
