Today, I moved for an amendment to a bill entitled "Voter Empowerment" to include common sense Voter ID requirements. See the amendment below. Kids must show photo ID to take a SAT. Visitors to this State House must show photo ID prior to entrance. But to vote? That's where the politicians who are already elected draw a line. This is a 80/20 issue. The voters overwhelmingly want us to implement voter ID laws. The majority party declined to do so today. Think about that!
