Speaking candidly, Eyiyemi revealed that she would rather marry a poor man than a wealthy one, explaining that she believes wealth can sometimes make men disrespectful or unfaithful in relationships. According to her, “I cannot marry a rich man and can’t be a second or third wife.” She explained that she prefers a man who is financially modest because he would be less likely to look down on her or engage in infidelity.
