International law lies in tatters. Trump openly boasts about seizing control of the oil & running Venezuela for the long term and now threatens Cuba. World leaders must speak up and defend the rules based system. The rule of law matters.

The Govt has today published it's Child Poverty Strategy. With measures including the end of the two child limit, 550,000 children will be lifted out of poverty by 2030. I look forward to working with @nechildpoverty and others to make this a reality. gov.uk/government/new…

The scale of poverty in Middlesbrough is an absolute scandal. Govt has to prioritise its anti-poverty strategy - scrapping the two-child benefit limit and not pressing ahead with the cuts to welfare payments. Driving down poverty has to be our priority. gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-…
