This was Team Tanya’s first Twitter space and trend, so naturally they were overwhelmed by the number of listeners and mic requests. The entire team is still new to Twitter and fandom culture, which is why some irrelevant people ended up getting the mic. To be honest, they gave mic access to people who like Tanya, but not all of them are genuine fans. The same thing happened yesterday as well. Some of us (including me) were upset because, during Tanya’s space, a few people didn’t maintain basic decorum. They started bringing up other contestants and unnecessary shipping narratives just to satisfy their own egos. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on Tanya and her team, and clearly shows they don’t respect her reputation. Interestingly, they wouldn’t dare do the same in spaces related to their other favorites. That said, we are here to support Tanya, not to engage with irrelevant people or their ships. The best way forward is to ignore such distractions and focus on what truly matters. Tanya herself wants to move on from BB and is already in that process, so as fans, we should respect that and do the same. Let’s not focus on a few negative elements. Instead, let’s appreciate that many genuine solo fans got the opportunity to speak yesterday and share their suggestions with the team. As Amritesh mentioned, those interested can reach out to Team Tanya with their details and city name. They may contact you when Tanya visits your city. Lastly, being a fan comes with responsibility. A fan is only a fan as long as they respect boundaries and don’t end up harming the person they claim to support, like what happened last night. 🕊️
