@JeffMeidinger @MetamateDaz Have you considered that, perhaps, possibly, there is the slightest chance that, peradventure, Mr. Jeff, if someone is working full time at any job that they should, perhaps, maybe, be paid a wage that does not necessitate that they have to live with their parents?

@skulgan @MetamateDaz Would it be alright then for employers to pay one wage for part time work and another for full time? Should there be two minimum wages? Seems problematic, because one of the few actual laws in economics is that the price being paid is the value of the task being performed.

@TomSteyer I don't think that can be true just by deciding it tho. No more than the people who think the world is flat can make the world flat. Immutable laws are immutable.

It's easy to talk down someone who you have no fucking idea of their situation. I can complain because I've survived it.

@MatrixMysteries I don't think that's accurate. I think she's being misleading about her principle balance. She's calling that her initial loan amount. Intellectually dishonest. She's also been paying the absolute minimum because she has her loan forgiven now.

@MetamateDaz If you agree to give your time to an employer, the employer should compensate you enough for your life, period. Work is very much an agreement between two parties over labor. Don't let companies work you to death for not even enough to keep the light in the fridge on.

Can anyone tell me what a “fair” tax on the “rich” is? I still can’t get a straight answer. Is it 30%? Is it 50%? Is it 90%? And what would be considered “rich”?

@haugejostein BTW ... they did all that by introducing capitalism. In 1980 90% of Chinese lived in extreme poverty. Then came the introduction of state capitalism. That's literally the power of capitalism you're lauding.
