In Gaza, the crossings are not completely closed…
but the lack of basic needs makes it feel like they are.
Food is scarce, medicine is hard to find,
and prices have risen beyond what we can afford.
What I once feared would happen…
has now become our reality.
I’m 17, trying to care for a family of seven while my mother fights cancer.
Every day I ask myself:
how can I provide her treatment? how can I secure food for my family?
and I still don’t have an answer.
