Trump threatened to nuke Iran during the same press event where he called a woman reporter "baby" and a "bitch" and we'll all just supposed to continue on tomorrow as though any of this insanity is normal or acceptable

YES. YES. I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS. I started a spreadsheet in 2019 tracking every category where America is number one globally and people keep asking me to stop bringing it to Thanksgiving. We lead the PLANET in medical debt. Not the developed world. The PLANET. There are countries where "medical bankruptcy" doesn't translate because the CONCEPT doesn't exist in their language. We invented it. We EXPORTED it as a field of academic study. German researchers fly here to observe it happening in real time. They take NOTES. We are a living laboratory and the experiment is "what if you made people choose between insulin and rent." We chose. Exposed. This is the thing we're best at. We lead in incarceration. More humans in cages than China. China has 1.4 billion people and an authoritarian government and we STILL have more prisoners. We beat AUTHORITARIANS at their own game using FREEDOM. We did it with both parties cooperating across NINE administrations. Name ONE other bipartisan project that lasted fifty years. You can't. This is our moon landing. We just don't film it. We lead in insulin pricing. $300 for a vial that costs $30 in Canada. Canada is VISIBLE FROM DETROIT. You can see Canada from a Walgreens parking lot where someone is deciding between half-doses. The same molecule. The same manufacturer. The border adds $270 of LEADERSHIP. That's what leading looks like. It looks like a 900% markup on not dying. We lead in mass shootings. Not per capita. Not adjusted. RAW TOTAL. We have so many that researchers had to invent subcategories. School. Workplace. Concert. Grocery store. We have a TAXONOMY. Other countries have incidents. We have a CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM with peer-reviewed SORTING CRITERIA. That's infrastructure. That's RIGOR. We lead in healthcare spending AND in maternal mortality among rich nations. Simultaneously. We spend $4.3 trillion a year and mothers die at rates that would concern a developing nation. We spent MORE money to get WORSE outcomes so consistently that it can't be incompetence. Incompetence wouldn't be this RELIABLE. This takes PLANNING. This is an ACHIEVEMENT of systems working exactly as designed across multiple industries cooperating to extract value from the specific biological event of someone trying not to die. We lead in per-capita spending on our military while our veterans sleep in tents. We allocated $886 billion to defense and our soldiers come home to a VA waitlist so long that some of them die on it. We spent the money. We just didn't spend it on THEM. The money went somewhere. It led the way. Just not toward the people who fought. I printed this tweet on a 24x36 poster. It's in my living room. My wife moved out last month but she didn't take the poster so I think she agrees.

I guess it’s just an amazing coincidence that basically every decision related to politics helps Republicans, and every decision related to regulation helps fossil fuel polluters. nbcnews.com/politics/supre…

@Tweeterpat33838 @MonicaCrowley And maybe add autocrat, plutocrat, grift, and narcissist to the vocab list. However, I also recommend go have a local good beer, support local businesses, & treat your neighbors kindly. Off to spend my energy on useful pursuits, May the Fourth be with you!

@Tweeterpat33838 @MonicaCrowley I don't envy billionaires, although I wonder how some of the intellectually vacuous ones got where they are. Lucky for Scott Bessent that he really was funded by Soros! I also suggest those using terms like Marxist, socialist, & communist should know the dedinitions & diffs.

He makes money on these trips, too, from events, ecret Service fees, etc etc. He & his fam have cleared over 4bil$$ so far off this term. Why would he care about 400k$ ?

@JoScheff @MonicaCrowley 45-47 destination isn't the issue & re 'the most efficient flightpath'(?!)' that is up to ATC. He doesn't take a salary unlike most other presidents. Every president racks up costs to travel. Obama was quite a taxpayer drain during his 8 years of allowing Iran free reign.🤭3.2.1.

Memphis is the second Blackest big city in the country, and it’s about to be gerrymandered within an inch of its life so a white Republican can represent it in Congress. This was exactly the thing Congress was trying to address with the Voting Rights Act. tennesseelookout.com/2026/05/01/gov…

Let's dismantle this recycled denialist greatest hits compilation with actual science. That "46 scientists REBEL" list has been circulating since the early 2000s - some quotes are literally 25 years old. Imagine using a 1999 flip phone to argue against current mobile technology. Dr. Bogataj's CO2 lag quote? That's from ice core glacial cycles where orbital forcing triggers warming, oceans release CO2, which AMPLIFIES the warming. It's literally evidence FOR CO2 as a greenhouse gas. Climate Science 101. "No acceleration in sea level rise"? Cool 1990s quote. Current data: 1993-2023 rate is 3.4mm/yr vs 1.7mm/yr previous century average. That's DOUBLE. Math still works. Dr. Christy claiming "most IPCC scientists don't agree"? The IPCC involves THOUSANDS of scientists. Every Assessment Report is approved by 195 governments AND scientific authors. That's consensus with receipts. And his own UAH satellite data shows +0.14°C/decade warming since 1979. RSS satellite: +0.21°C/decade. Both datasets SUPPORT warming. "The Sun is cooling" - you're absolutely right! Solar irradiance has been DECLINING since the 1980s while global temps keep rising. You just provided evidence AGAINST solar forcing. Thanks for the self-own. Let's check those "natural forcings": Volcanic? Near zero. Solar? Declining. Orbital? 10,000-year timescales. Meanwhile CO2: 280ppm (pre-industrial) → 425ppm (2024). Isotopic signature? Fossil fuels. Case closed. IPCC projection accuracy: The 1990 First Assessment projected 0.3°C warming by 2020. Actual? 0.3°C. Nailed it. 1995 projection? Nailed it. 2001? Nailed it. These models work. "Wild swings then global cooling"? Earth just had its hottest year on record (2024), breaking 2023's record, which broke 2016's record. The 10 hottest years EVER recorded? All since 2010. That's not "wild swings" - that's a trend with a flamethrower attached. The actual IPCC AR6 (2021-2023): 234 authors from 66 countries, 14,000+ cited papers, 78,000+ review comments. Confidence level on human-caused warming? "Unequivocal." Not 46 cherry-picked quotes from the '90s - the ENTIRE scientific literature. Here's the tell: when you need to quote-mine 25-year-old statements, rip scientists out of context, and ignore two decades of data, observations, and physics... you're not doing science. You're doing apologetics. The emperor has no clothes? The emperor is wearing a thermometer reading 1.2°C above pre-industrial. The real question is why you're still trying to sell us invisible fabric from the 1990s.

🚨BREAKING!!! 46 IPCC Scientists REBEL: The Climate Narrative is Crumbling from Within!🚨 Forty-six scientists tied to the IPCC have stepped away or spoken out because their evidence-based views clashed with the official alarmist script. They weren’t “listened to.” Their data didn’t fit the doom-and-gloom story pushed in the Summaries for Policymakers. Don’t trust me, read their own words here! ⬇️ Dr. Robert Balling: “The IPCC notes that ‘No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.’ This did not appear in the IPCC Summary for Policymakers.” Dr. Lucka Bogataj: “Rising levels of airborne carbon dioxide don’t cause global temperatures to rise…. temperature changed first and some 700 years later a change in aerial content of carbon dioxide followed.” Dr. John Christy: “Little known to the public is the fact that most of the scientists involved with the IPCC do not agree that global warming is occurring. Its findings have been consistently misrepresented and/or politicized with each succeeding report.” Dr. Rosa Compagnucci: “Humans have only contributed a few tenths of a degree to warming on Earth. Solar activity is a key driver of climate.” Dr. Richard Courtney: “The empirical evidence strongly indicates that the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis is wrong.” Dr. Judith Curry: “I’m not going to just spout off and endorse the IPCC because I don’t have confidence in the process.” Dr. Robert Davis: “Global temperatures have not been changing as state of the art climate models predicted they would. Not a single mention of satellite temperature observations appears in the IPCC Summary for Policymakers.” Dr. Willem de Lange: “In 1996 the IPCC listed me as one of approximately 3000 ‘scientists’ who agreed that there was a discernible human influence on climate. I didn’t. There is no evidence to support the hypothesis that runaway catastrophic climate change is due to human activities.” Dr. Chris de Freitas: “Government decision-makers should have heard by now that the basis for the long-standing claim that carbon dioxide is a major driver of global climate is being questioned; along with it the hitherto assumed need for costly measures to restrict carbon dioxide emissions. If they have not heard, it is because of the din of global warming hysteria that relies on the logical fallacy of ‘argument from ignorance’ and predictions of computer models.” Dr. Oliver Frauenfeld: “Much more progress is necessary regarding our current understanding of climate and our abilities to model it.” Dr. Peter Dietze: “Using a flawed eddy diffusion model, the IPCC has grossly underestimated the future oceanic carbon dioxide uptake.” Dr. John Everett: “It is time for a reality check. The oceans and coastal zones have been far warmer and colder than is projected in the present scenarios of climate change. I have reviewed the IPCC and more recent scientific literature and believe that there is not a problem with increased acidification, even up to the unlikely levels in the most-used IPCC scenarios.” Dr. Eigil Friis-Christensen: “The IPCC refused to consider the sun’s effect on the Earth’s climate as a topic worthy of investigation. The IPCC conceived its task only as investigating potential human causes of climate change.” Yet the grift rolls on. New grads, indoctrinated in universities, keep repackaging the same scares for the next generation. “Consensus!” “The Science says!” Endless control through manufactured ignorance. Meanwhile, nature doesn’t care about the narrative. Natural forcings rule. The Sun is cooling. Jet stream gone meridional. Cosmic rays surging, seeding clouds. Result? Wild swings, then global cooling. The emperor has no clothes, and the scientists who know it are finally speaking up. 🔥 Original work from The Dragons Breathe Substack: open.substack.com/pub/thedragons…
