NYT reports that last summer, Hegseth’s chief of staff Ricky Buria “chastised” Army Secretary Dan Driscoll for selecting a Black female combat engineer to serve as the head of Military District of Washington: “Mr. Buria told Mr. Driscoll that President Trump would not want to stand next to a Black female officer at military events, the officials said. Mr. Driscoll was shocked. ‘The president is not a racist or sexist,’ he told Mr. Buria, according to the officials. Mr. Driscoll then raised the issue with a senior White House official who agreed with his assessment of Mr. Trump.” Buria denied the exchange.

Fox host: I think it is alarming that we have not been able to see or hear from any of the Iranian people. Do they have drinking water, food? Trump: Do you remember when we had lunch years ago at Trump Tower? You have not changed. You may be even better looking.

Pressed by my questions, Trump’s judicial nominees give identical, nonsensical canned responses—looking ridiculous & demonstrating an abject absence of independence & integrity. Lacking a backbone now, they won’t have one on the bench.

Israel’s airstrikes in Lebanon have killed more than 1,000 people — at least 118 of them children. Many were civilians going about their lives: excited for birthdays, tending their plants and dreaming big in small towns. Here are three of their stories: nytimes.com/2026/03/24/wor…

Today, we celebrate a true American icon, a national treasure, and my dear friend, Mae Krier, as she turns 100! Mae, from Levittown, is one of the original Rosie the Riveters—a woman of extraordinary courage, grit, and patriotism who answered her country’s call at one of the most consequential moments in history. She was part of the generation that helped save the world. But what makes Mae so extraordinary is that her service did not end when the war was won. In the decades since, she has been tireless champion for the women who helped secure that victory, ensuring their story is honored and never forgotten. At 100 years young, Mae remains the living embodiment of the indomitable “We Can Do It” spirit — strong, graceful, selfless, and unwavering in her love of country. She is not only a witness to history, but a guardian of it. She has spent a lifetime preserving a legacy that America can never afford to lose, and in doing so, inspired generations with her example. It has been one of the great honors of my life to stand beside Mae in this work. From leading the Rosie The Riveter Congressional Gold Medal Act, to presenting her with that medal on the shores of Normandy on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, to continuing the fight to ensure the Rosies receive the permanent recognition they earned, every step of this journey has been made more meaningful by Mae’s friendship, leadership, and inspiring spirit. And just yesterday, I introduced HRes 1126 to honor Mae on her 100th birthday—a tribute to her extraordinary life of service and the indomitable spirit she continues to embody today. Mae is proof that one person, with courage, conviction, and an unwavering love of country, can move history, and leave it better than they found it. Happy 100th Birthday, Mae. You one of the most extraordinary people I have ever had the privilege to know. Our community, our country, and our world are better because of you. Here’s to my friend Mae—Happy Birthday, we love you! 🔗: fitzpatrick.house.gov/2026/3/fitzpat…

Publications of every ideological bent have always been free to investigate Cesar Chavez. It was the NY Times that spent 5 years digging up the story that would destroy the legacy of a liberal icon. The journalists who broke the story are the envy of their colleagues, who have been effusively praising them on social media. None of this is surprising to anyone who follows the work of publications like the Times that have been doing this sort of work, exposing bad actors of every political stripe, for more than a century.

I have no problem believing that Cesar Chavez was a sexual abuser. I have a very hard time believing that the legacy media just discovered this.
