Just watched the full 90 of the Blackburn 21s against Liverpool 21s. I’m not even just saying it, Tom Atcheson is ridiculous — he was one of if not the youngest player on the pitch, in my opinion the biggest and best physically. His strength, stride and power is certainly a strong point of his game, but he’s so well rounded, fantastic in possession, a strong ball carrier, never looks under pressure and for 17years old, I genuinely think he’s one of the best CBs in academy football, atleast I’ve seen for a long while. He played in the LCB role in a back 3, covered the channels and wide areas brilliantly, his reading and IQ in his game already is honestly a joke. I always say transferring it from Academy football to senior is a massive jump that many underestimate, but he has everything to settle into senior football, got to manage his development right of course - but would love to see him feature soon in the first team.
