I've been through this twice before, and have three of them with the same issue. Your support people say to power it off for a few minutes to reset it. That is not an acceptable 'fix' as it doesn't stop it from happening again at any time. They have offered to send an engineer on the basis that they would charge if they don't find a problem. Well, they won't find a problem once it's reset, and they work for, could be, a year before the next time it happens. Samsung's attitude is, it's not covered by warranty, even though it's clearly a design flaw from day one. I can't even fit a third party alarm, as they do a defrost cycle regularly which triggers alarms regularly. Shocking design.

@SamsungUK @WhichUK Another top-of-the-range freezer just thawed out again. 3rd time since new, no alarm/indication, display still shows -18. Your previously suggested power cycle is not an acceptable 'fix'. Your warranty (only on the compressor) is a con. Swerving responsibility for diabolical products is a con. Why no alarm, why not display the actual temperature, why need a power cycle to reset, why need a temperature setting to freeze again (it's a freezer)? It's a sick joke.

Hi @Keir_Starmer What happened to “Labour would freeze your council tax”? Or “Not a penny more on your council tax…No ifs, no buts”? Many people across the country are opening letters for higher council tax bills. Labour deserve the local election annihilation coming in May.
