Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) stated the reason for the continued shutdown succinctly: "What we don’t want to fund is ICE.” Defunding ICE is clearly a non-starter with a majority in Congress and a majority of the public. However, Democrats are continuing this absurd shutdown...

...What is curious is that Comey then said that he went home and apparently shared the name of a classified program with his uncleared family: "Only when I got home and told my family the story did I get the reaction I was looking for. When I write, I listen to classical or jazz because, in ways I can’t explain, the music unlocks something. It frees me." It apparently also frees him of "need to know" security protocols.
