One of the Newest Arizona Cardinals:
Kaleb Proctor - DT Southeastern Louisiana
6-foot-1 and 291 pounds.
33 inch arms, 9 1/2 hands and a 79 2/3 wingspan.
I had proctor pencilled in for a potential option as our 3rd round pick but luckily we still manged to get him early on Day 3.
He gives me vibes that he could be the Milton Williams/Kobie Turner of this draft class. The Cardinals had a Top 30 visit with Proctor and he was one of the first names linked with a visit throughout the process.
He has the burst, strength, length, bend and an explosive first step to be a disruptive pass rusher from the interior in the league for a long time.
He set career highs in his final season 39 pressures, 9 sacks, 4 hits and 26 hurries (per PFF) notching an elite 90.4 pass rush grade.
The level of competition talk was silenced when he played LSU as they had a hard time containing him and that game put his name on the map notching up 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss and 3 pressures. He played his best ball against the better competition he faced.
He followed this up with a very dominant @ShrineBowl and continued to impress at the NFL scouting combine with an elite composite speed and explosion grade (RAS of 9.15).
We may see a smaller role to start off with (similar to Milton Williams) where he comes in on long/late downs and/or on pressure packages to pin his ears and go as a three-technique. He needs to be more consistent as a run defender to become a plus starting every down DL but he has the makings to do so.

Tyree was picked before Bijan, for all the ‘positional value’ experts out there
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
Trade: The #Saints are trading for former #Raiders first-round edge Tyree Wilson, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new, high-ceiling edge in New Orleans.
English

This is the first year since 2018 where the #AZCardinals drafted three consecutive offensive players.
2026:
RB Jeremiyah Love
OG Chase Bisontis
QB Carson Beck
2018:
QB Josh Rosen
WR Christian Kirk
OC Mason Cole
Each draft featured a first-time head coach in Arizona (Steve Wilks, Mike LaFleur) while a fellow NFC West team competed in a Super Bowl (Seahawks, Rams)
English

Welcome to Carson Beck. We should let him start in 2026. Either he’s a guy or we get a top QB in 2027 draft. #BIRDGANG

Carson Beck is coming to the Valley 👀

@MikeyDinie @ClancysCorner Penn State plays better competition than Miami imo (yes I know he played at Georgia too)
English

@JonathonW_7 @ClancysCorner Did Drew Allar play the same level of competition as Carson Beck though?
English

Makes all the sense. Big frame. So much experience at the highest college football level.
Said for two months I’d rather Carson Beck in the 3rd than Ty Simpson in the 2nd (or 1st). Really good with this.

Pick is in: #Cardinals have selected Miami QB Carson Beck, per sources.
English

This seems encouraging
Jordan Schultz@Schultz_Report
766 snaps and ZERO sacks allowed for Chase Bisontis.
English

Don’t know much about him but, given the scenario, o line here was a great target. And Monti wasted no time putting that pick in, he must’ve been highly sought after
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
At No. 34, the #AZCardinals don't go QB -- it's Texas A&M G Chase Bisontis. He was in consideration late in Round 1, ends up early in Round 2.
English

@PHNX_Cardinals @Schultz_Report I wouldn’t even touch him with a 7th. At this point is Drew Allar or Sawyer Robertson (for me)
English

Multiple teams are monitoring the Arizona Cardinals as a possible fit to draft Miami QB Carson Beck, per @Schultz_Report.
Beck previously took a top 30 visit with the Cardinals.

@BoBrack @PHNX_Cardinals Dropping a Spiderman quote in his intro press conference, this man is certified all-pro
English

@cardsfanjoanna The complainers like to leave out the hit rate on highly-drafted RBs is HIGH. Outside of Richardson and CEH, not many recent 1st round busts come to mind
English

@JonathonW_7 45 million for 5 years what ever will they do?
Oh wait, we have 700 billion in unused cap space over the next three years. Guess that’s not even remotely a problem.
These arguments are honestly just garbage
English

For all the online whining about Jeremiah Love, no one actually has anything remotely interesting to say about it.
Just pure, unadulterated crying about taking the best player in the draft. #NFLDraft
English

@ethankirkeeng17 @chuckh3 I’m not talking RB pay range. The amount Love is receiving vs any other player making similar money. Take position out of it, Love is a great player that makes the team better instantly
English

@JonathonW_7 @chuckh3 There is no one in Love’s guaranteed pay range, the previous record was mid 30s, he’s making north of 50, he is by far the highest paid RB in history
English

Wonder how many of the top RB's are set to get increases in the next year or 2, making Love's deal a bargain
Peter Schrager@PSchrags
This was the debate all week on @GetUpESPN . At 3 overall -- is it value or best player available. Both answers can be right. Arizona went with BPA.
