anthropic cut off openclaw users on friday. by monday morning the community had: full GPT-5.4 support working gemma 4 running locally as a free fallback a chinese clone that runs in 10MB of RAM one company tried to kill a movement. the movement shipped three alternatives in 72 hours. that's why you build on open source.

In reality, Anthropic’s absolutely idiotic decision to paywall openclaw out of most people’s hands will give way to the other providers to optimize for ultra low cost agentic tokens that give you 95-99% of Claude’s capabilities. Long term, this means Anthropic is not only toast, but can very easily be seen as the most evil AI company, because their pricing behavior blocks most people out of AGI, only reserving it for the elite - which will cause an acceleration in the wealth gap. Thank God for competition, because Anthropic is about as morally corrupt as they get. They talk a good game, but their actions are the exact opposite. Misanthropic indeed.
ThePrimeagen@ThePrimeagen

i am happy that anthropic is doing what they are doing with subscriptions the real cost of ai is really high and this subsidized life coming to an end more and more is a good thing.

I've been extremely hesitant to call out @AnthropicAI for anecdotal degradation in Claude's performance, but whatever they've shipped to the harness in the last few releases has absolutely lobotomised it. This is an *identical* workflow to what I was running last week.

It’s actually hilarious that OpenAI bought OpenClaw but their models are 🐶💩 on it. This was their perfect chance to take back market share, but I bet most people would rather pay for Anthropic’s API than have to deal with this all the time.

Good god please don't listen to this horseshit. 1. OpenClaw is a ralph loop with messaging it's not f**king the greatest piece of software ever written and there's alternatives like paperclip and nanoclaw and tinyclaw that work as good if not better. 2. You don't have to be burning money like this fool. He's making his on clicks and views and so all this drama is great for his numbers but having a 24/7 workforce that's cost him tens of thousands has lead to him releasting ZERO products over last months. Even his screenshots showed 0 tool use. It's all engagement farming bullshit. But you can choose to follow the fool or listen to people who actually know what they're talking about and aren't farming for likes and replies and horseshit. Up to you I have no skin in the game -- just sick of FUD.

gpt-5.4 was basically unusable for me in @openclaw. it would explain what needs to be done, I’d say “ok do it,” and then… nothing. no action, no feedback, sometimes it would just go silent or say it’s “working” with zero visibility. felt like babysitting an intern that never actually touched the keyboard switched to @NousResearch Hermes agent and it’s night and day. same model, but now it actually executes. on par with opus-4.6 for me no idea why the gap is that big but yeah, huge relief after losing Claude OAuth in openclaw

I have 3M subscribers and I know which 1,000 of them actually matter to the business. The rest are spectators. A small group of people who trust you completely will do more for your income than a million passive followers who barely remember your name. Build for the 1,000 before you chase the million.

Before you worry about AI taking your job, ask if you are already doing your job the way AI does. Following a script. Waiting for direction. Avoiding judgment calls. The people AI cannot replace are making calls that are not in any playbook.

The most useful AI workflows I run are the ones where AI barely shows up anymore. AI ran the workflow enough times to learn the path. Now it just runs. Fast. Cheap. No model calls. When something breaks, AI steps back in, fixes it, and hands it back. That is more useful than another smart agent that needs watching.

You can now describe a video in plain English and watch it render. Claude Code writes the components, sets the timing, and produces an MP4. I make video content for a living and I am watching the skill requirements for what I do drop every month. The people who win are building pipelines right now, before anyone else figures out the workflow.

The creator who spent ten years building real expertise and just learned to use AI is terrifying to compete against. They have something you cannot fake: the accumulated judgment of doing the thing for a long time. AI gives them execution speed. Their experience gives them taste and direction. That combination is rare and nearly impossible to catch up to.

I do not know how to code and I have been building real tools with Claude for months. Not demos. Not experiments. Actual things that save me hours every week. The gap between having an idea and having the thing exist used to require a developer. It does not anymore.

A 30-second video I filmed on my phone has more views than any brand deal I ever ran. That video was not planned. I just saw something interesting and hit record. Meanwhile I have watched brands spend weeks briefing creators, approving scripts, setting KPIs, and getting back numbers that would not fill a room. The person who is excited about something will always outperform the person who was paid to seem excited.

My best-performing content category is nothing like what I planned when I started. I kept watching what people responded to and moving toward it. You do not need to predict the right direction. You need to be willing to move when you see it.
