The Government has chosen to waste another opportunity to save lives today. Local suicide prevention funding hasn’t been renewed like we hoped it would, meaning funding that so many communities in England depend on will completely run out at the end of this month #Budget2024🧵

It means communities are left with less support at a time when suicide rates are as high as they were over 20 years ago. The Government published a suicide prevention strategy in September - but without funding at both a national and local level, it won’t reach its targets.

My dads in hospital. They think he's got a chest infection but not sure. How can you not know it's a chest infection? I feel guilty for thinking this

Take heed people. Still we hear on tv that word. There is no crime “committed” … other than the ignorance of saying it and the repeated heartbreak this causes. 🙏🏾

If we make a reduction to suicide in macros, in our communities, the result on National figs. could be huge. We can all make a difference by learning to open up conversations. We need to support at grass roots because we understand our people . @JudeGrinter @SarahFitchett2
