I'd love to expand on this while debunking some common lies: Kabab is Iranian in origin (yes, I know the whole region will disagree with me on this), and it's far older than islam, let alone most islamic countries. It was invented well over 1000 years before Mohammad was born. Muslims have claimed this food ever since the Arabs invaded Persia and discovered all the delicious food they themselves never ate in the desert. In Iran it's been a staple for over 2000 years. There are records of Persian soldiers using their swords as kabab skewers while at war with the Roman Empire. Kabab is not halal in origin, because those rules didn't exist until the 600s, when Mohammad's armies invaded and his invaders subsequently appropriated our food. In fact, the word "kabab" itself dates back over 3000 years in Persian and Akkadian records. It's impossibly old! What you know as kabab isn't actually islamic originally, it's simply a delicious preparation of meat which sadly has been absorbed into the culture of prideful islamist who think it's a muslim food. It's a shame really, because kabab can 100% be made with non-halal meat, and it's absolutely delicious. So please don't listen to any morons telling you these things.
