I knew and worked with Bob Mueller. I didn’t always agree with him, but he was a Patriot who never said no to his country’s call for service. To speak this way about any veteran is reprehensible; especially so when you are the Commander-in-Chief. Shame on the President.

It's ok to be a proponent of legalized sports betting but still understand that what's actively going on across the landscape isn't sustainable. There's a generation of problem gamblers being created that don't have proper guard rails when firing into bet types they have 0% chance of beating. The 2 thoughts aren't diametrically opposed; they're intertwined.

Surveillance pricing doesn’t just hurt working families – it also puts small businesses at a disadvantage. These local shops, like Invictus Pharmacy in Rochelle Park, charge everyone the same fair price, but now have to compete with big chain stores that spy on customers to pad their profits. I’m working to limit this outrageous practice in our state. We won’t let Big Tech surveil on New Jerseyans and jack up their bills.

Surveillance pricing weaponizes our own personal data to gouge the prices of everyday essentials. This Monday the Senate Commerce Committee will hear legislation from Senator Joe Lagana & @SenatorJoeCryan to ensure that you and your neighbor are paying the same price.

These days, rent can be set by algorithms that use your data to charge the highest price they think you can bear. The same goes for groceries – where they switch prices based on things like time of day or phone browsing history. We will work to protect New Jerseys working families by limiting this kind of for-profit surveillance by Big Tech.

“Being a voucher holder is a soul-crushing exercise in rejection, humiliation and human suffering,” said Aaron Carr, executive director of Housing Rights Initiative. “If you don’t want people coming after you for breaking the law, stop breaking the law.”

Dozens of lawsuits. One recurring question about Section 8 vouchers. The Times examines the legal battles unfolding between a tenant and L.A. landlords — and the fight over whether the cases combat discrimination or go too far. latimes.com/california/sto…

So far, this Iran operation is a cascade of worst‑case outcomes. • Iran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, collapsing tanker traffic by 80–90% and sending oil prices from about $65 to over $110 in just over a week. • U.S. operational costs: ~$1B per day. • Iranian drone and missile attacks have killed 7 Americans and wounded 18. • A likely U.S. strike on Feb 28 hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ elementary school in Minab, killing ~165–175 civilians—mostly schoolgirls aged 7–12z • Kuwait was expected to have ~18 days of storage before cuts, but began reducing oil output within 2–3 days of the blockade. • Iraqi oil production from its main southern fields has collapsed by 70%. • Qatar's Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi warned Gulf exporters may halt production within days, potentially spiking oil to $150 per barrel within 2-3 weeks. • U.S. embassy evacuations collapsed into disaster: State Dept delayed approvals 1–4 days, facilities struck, thousands stranded amid closed airspace/airports, slow military/charter rollout. • Treasury issued a 30‑day OFAC waiver allowing India to continue purchasing Russian oil, reversing years of U.S. pressure discouraging those imports. • Iran’s Supreme Leader has been replaced by his more hardline son, Mojtaba Khamenei — and with Iran likely heavily protecting him, Trump’s likely push to remove him could take time, prolonging the crisis and its costs. • The Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow estimate for Q1 2026 growth plunged from 3.0% (Mar 2) to 2.1% (Mar 6) — a 0.9 pp drop in just four days. • U.S. gas prices jumped from about $2.95 to ~$3.40/gal in a week (≈40–60¢, one of the fastest increases ever), while diesel surged ~50–75¢ to ~$4.30–$4.50. • U.S. stocks have fallen since Feb 28: S&P 500 −2.0%, Dow −3.0%, Nasdaq −1–2%. • Despite hopes the strikes might trigger regime collapse, protests so far are nowhere near the scale of the January 2026 nationwide uprising. • The Fed’s ability to cut rates is constrained even with weak jobs data, as surging oil has pushed up inflation expectations.

I used to work in sustainability consulting. I'd have to pitch everything as a cost saving measure and some guy from an oil company with a thick dallas drawl would tell me "sweetheart, we'll just pay the fine"

Incredible. Congratulations to the entire @Penn_State community for raising another record-setting $18,841,726.53 to fight pediatric cancer. This weekend is so special every year — and @THON continues to not only raise money for research and to spread awareness, but also put smiles on kids’ faces. You’re making Pennsylvania proud. #FTK

“I think we are one big step into dictatorship already.” Conservative historian Robert Kagan. Robert Kagan: "Well, I think we are one big step into dictatorship already. It's not clear to me that any institution in the United States is really prepared to stand up to Donald Trump. It seems the only people who are willing to stand up to Donald Trump are average American citizens in Minneapolis and elsewhere, and god bless them for that, but the US Congress, both parties, are unwilling to really fight Trump. The Republicans have become the party of dictatorship. So I think we are one deep foot into dictatorship, and I am worried, as I have said and others have been pointing out, about whether we will even have free and fair elections in 2026, let alone in 2028. I think Trump has a plan to disrupt those elections and I don't think he's willing to allow Democrats to take control of one or both houses, as could happen in a free election."
